Much of my exploring in adolescence led me to travel, studying foreign languages and living abroad. I earned a liberal arts degree in French, German and Business administration while taking classes in painting, ceramics, forensic science, world religions and Japanese History.
While living in Japan, I had the opportunity to study Shiatsu (a Japanese form of bodywork and healing) and Thai Massage. I also stumbled as a naive traveler into India and got a serious cultural education, later living at a yoga ashram and earning my yoga teacher certification there.
As I matured and grew, I sought more natural approaches to the digestive and women's health issues I faced. I began to understand the deeper connections of how what was going on in my life and in my psyche manifested through my body's experience.
I struggled with an unhealthy relationship with food while worry and stress were part of my daily existence. To my surprise, I realized that my self esteem was actually quite low although I had always been an "achiever" in the external world.
By grace and my own efforts, I have been led to personal practices, modalities and teachers who have helped me to continue becoming more and more my true Self.
It is my work in the world to be of service to others seeking to heal and gain more freedom in their daily lives.
I have a master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the top rated school in the US (OCOM - The Oregon College of Oriental Medicine) and hold a Colorado Acupuncturist License. I am a Chinese medical herbalist and spent several years as an Herbal Medicinary Supervisor and substitute faculty at OCOM.
If you have something you're working on and would like my help, I invite you to call me, ask questions, and set up a Pre Treatment Consultation. I look forward to sitting down with you soon.
May you be happy.
